Within the space of an hour, Britain's Larry Godfrey has beaten Milon of Bangladesh 84-63 and Mexican Juan Renne Sennaro 111-108 in the men's individual archery. Team GB teenager Zoe Smith broke the British clean and jerk record and set a new personal best on debut in the Olympic Games in the women's 58kgs weightlifting final. After the Category A lifters had completed their session, however, she slid from second down to twelfth position. Strong run from Neave in kayak qualifying
It's been a successful day already at Lee Valley White Water Park for the canoe slalom but Lizzie Neave has trumped Hounslow and Florence's decent C2 efforts earlier, with a brilliant 98.92 that puts her right near the top of the qualification for the K1 and she looks set to do well in the semi-finals over the coming days.Baltacha out after Ivanovic defeat
After bravely taking Ana Ivanovic to a tie-break in the second set, Elena Baltacha is out of the singles. The 6-4 7-6 loss means she hasn't followed in the footsteps of Heather Watson or Laura Robson, who've won today, but she was facing much tougher opposition.Elsewhere, Serena Williams has won her second round match in straight sets over Urszula Radwanska, while Novak Djokovic is a set down in the doubles against a Swedish duo.

Hounslow and Florence qualify in canoe double
I can assure you these men do have a canoe - and that they've done pretty well. Richard Hounslow and David Florence posted a best time of 101.08 at Lee Valley to qualify in seventh in the canoe slalom. The top ten go through to the semi-final.
