Lokomotiv Moscow came from behind to beat
newly-promoted Mordovia Saransk 3-2 away from home and start the new
Russian Premier League season with three points.
The
hosts had led through Kirill Panchenko after 16 minutes, but two goals
in the space of five minutes from Dmitri Torbinsky and Magomed Ozdoev
turned the game around just after the half-hour mark for new Lokomotiv
coach Slaven Bilic.
Debutant Vedran Corluka, signed from Tottenham this summer, then made it 3-1 seven minutes before half-time.
Eugeniy
Osipov got a goal back for the hosts just after the hour mark, but they
could not find an equaliser despite the late dismissal of Ozdoev for
hitting out at Yuri Kuleshov.
